Le Régiment Bourbonnais in cooperation with The Heritage Farm Commission and the Town of Bolton, CT is hosting a weekend-long living history event October 6-8, 2023. The event will take place on Heritage Farm, which is a registered W3R site. The farm sits on a high ridge with sweeping views to the south. The 40-acre property is lined with original stone walls and trails. This invitation-only event will portray a campsite of Continental and French forces on the march. The army is encamped in friendly territory, so the mood is relaxed. The stop gives the troops time to resupply, make necessary repairs, and prepare for the rest of the march. Local tradespeople and town folk come to offer goods and services. The camp will be laid out in the French style consisting of mostly wedge tents. Ranking officers will be allotted space for a wall tent. Canvas “hovels” and brush cut shelters are not allowed.

Activities include:

• Distribution of rations and a cooking contest.
• Combined and individual unit drills.
• Group and individual demonstrations throughout each day.
• A twilight camp stroll by the public on Saturday.
• A participant-only tavern Saturday night after public hours.

Continental line member units are encouraged to apply (including artillery and cavalry). Do you have an individual impression such as a geographer, teamster, surgeon, washerwoman, blacksmith, viviandier/ petty sutler? We encourage you to apply.

We also have limited space available for sutlers. Sutlers will not be charged a fee.
