Hebron Colonial Day

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to step back in time over 200 years ago? For one day in September, you can. At Country Carpenters our hope is to create a glimpse of Hebron over 200 years ago. Hebron Colonial Day is a free event where folks can see history in action. Our town was home to farmers and craftsmen, hardworking people that lived a self-sustaining lifestyle.

As you stroll through our village you can visit the blacksmith shop, one room school, chair maker, wood carver, tinsmith, a colonial home, timber framer, farmer, and local colonial militia including Sheldon's Horse, The Second Continental Light Dragoons. They were the first commissioned cavalry regiment of the United States, commissioned December 12,1776.

Colonial Day will be on Saturday, September 16th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Country Carpenters, 326 Gilead St. Hebron Ct. We are also privileged to have Hebron American Legion selling their famous grilled hamburgers along with soda and water this year. This is a free event so please join us.
