The Army on Campaign

INVITATION ONLY - June 23-25, 2023.  Bidwell House, 100 Art School Rd, Monterey, MA  Sponsored by HM 52nd Regiment and Spencer's Additional Continental Regiment.   The Bidwell House Museum in Monterey, MA is proud to host "The Army on Campaign," a weekend long 1770's era living history weekend.  The event's focus/theme will be interpreting the life of Troops and Followers on Campaign during the American Revolution.  Because we aren't portraying any specific moment during the AWI era, clothing/impressions are entirely up to the individual unit.  

This event will include multiple lectures that focus on laundry, health & wellness, military discipline, and provisioning the army.  Three tactical demonstrations, two on Saturday and one on Sunday, will be conducted for the public, but additional "for us by us" skirmishing may occur around the available 112-acre Bidwell House property.

Please note:  This is a "Semi-Campaign" living history event.   Wall tents, officer marquis', and kitchen flys will not be allowed.   Groups are welcome to set up wedge tents, canvas "hovels," or cut brush to build a shelter.   Camp kitchens should be kept to a simplistic and "less is more" type set up.  No walk-ons are permitted.   Participants may only attend on an invite-only basis.
